I've been spending a lot of time with family and old friends lately..in fact i spent my new year eve at home. Many friends were rather surprised that I rejected their invitations to their parties (btw, thank you all so so much for your invitations)

I, myself was kinda surprised by my decision to stay home. Surprisingly, i didn't felt pathetic at all, in fact I had a great night! Guess i just needed some time on my own to ponder upon things that I've done in 2009.

2009 was rough! I didn't enjoyed it a bit! i'm really glad it ended and looking forward to new challenges in 2010. I kinda drifted around for the whole of 2009 with no accomplishments whatsoever!

What have i learned from 2009? ....."OBSESSION is a deadly game!"

I was too obsessed with my new found love and I've neglected everything. I just wanted to love her and gave her everything. Slowly, obsession turned me into someone different. All that i could think off..was her. I thought i found my soulmate. I wouldn't put the blame as me myself have to suffer the consequences of my own doings. Things went on just fine till i lost my job.

I landed myself in loads of debts with no stable income. I was depressed everyday wei! I had my first taste of poverty...well ok ok poverty might be too strong of a word but still...I was as broke as BROKE can be! i didn't even have money to eat!!! i was being really immature and lost all senses of directions.

When i thought things were getting better when i got myself a job in the real estate industry. She left me! i was devastated and it took me like FOREVER to get over her. In fact i stil think of her once in a while. It was even worse when all your mate is around you! i didn't have anyone to turn to at that time! It was really really hard....anyway i managed to pull thru and get on with life!

i learned a great deal out of this mess. Too much of something will do you no good! it changes you. It will alter your perceptions and your state of mind. You loses control. I was not myself then.

Life is all about balance..and standing firm on your principles!

I hope 2010 will be a great one and things are already looking kinda handsome!

Decided to take LRT to The Mall to settle my co. registration. It's been almost a year since i last boarded a LRT train. it reminded me why i actually enjoyed it last time....

Brussel Beer Cafe

After a long drive back home from Kajang, met up with the let let gang in Jaya One for a pint or two. Upon reaching, to my surprise, our beloved Mr J. HOD is there with his girl. *for you information, Mr J.HOD seldom hang out at night and always known as "boy next door" in let let". In fact, the whole gang is there.

Quite a nice place to hang out...cozy, friendly staff and the most important thing...the Beer is freaking awesome!!Let Let Gangthat's me hand on the right....leffe..yummy-licious Ar Sheng and girl...

Master Chef Ebisawa

Thanks to the kind people of Kampachi Equatorial, I got invited to a food review session few weeks back....yeah i know! very not the update but what the hell....here you go...

Apparently this Ebisawa guy is the head of all executive chefs of a chain of 35 renowned Asahizushi restaurants in Tokyo. In the month of September 2008, Kampachi will be presenting Ebisawa's exclusive Autumn signature dishes....and of coz i'll get to taste the food before anyone else...muahahahahaha

FIrst dish of the day "Mizunasu Mustard"...eggplant from Osaka! Texture very the interesting....spongy, juicy and extremely light! Very Yummy!

second dish.."Sabazushi"

the saba is lightly pickled in salt, then filleted. the fillets are then pickled again in Kyoto Chidorisu, a kind of homemade vinegar and garnished with a thinly sliced of pickled kombu(kelp) on top of the saba.....

third dish...."kazunoko Hari Hari"

unlike the more familiar orange tobiko, herring roe is yellowish in kaler...the eggs are tiny and much more crunchier than tobiko...very interesting texture!

"Iwashi Maruboshi"..the last signature dish!

a very oily sardine enjoyed best in autumn. It is marinated in brackish water and dried under the sun to concentrate the flavours....and you eat everything(head+bone+tail).everything!!....i personally like the head...damn kaw nice!!

after 4 very yummy dishes...the nice people at Kampachi decided to throw in a few more dishes for us..

look at this man...how to eat??? damn kaw nice right....this is art man! ...but i ate anyway...keke

it was crazy man....! my stomach was about to burst! i couldn't even lift up my finger! damn kaw full.... tiu mo?

DING DANG

Couldn't believe it when I saw it at this shop in Jalan Pasar. Old Skool sial....Childhood memories. Used to get it from my neighbourhood rotiman when i was like 6 or 7 yrs old. He would come by around 6.45pm everyday. i will just sit at the balcony and wait for the ever familiar sounds rotiman honk! Then in the speed of light, i'd dash down the stairs and usually by the time i reached him...he'll be surrounded by other kids living in the neighbourhood! damn...those kids! always in my way!

the chocoballs now gettin abit small lar..dunno how it taste like now..dun dare to makan! arkeke

quite challenging lor..took me about 15mins to get it assembled...

Friday Night@ Cloth & Clef

Went to cloth & clef last friday...it was my first time there! Not bad a place to hang out..nice ambient, good music..the only setback..NO FOOD but you can still order food from the neigbouring restaurants..nearest will be Magnificient Fish & Chips. For those who haven't been to Magnificient..the food there not bad...fish superb!! but.. Chips..so-so!

BACKACHE AND WEAK LEGS

Last Saturday, I was fortunate enough to get hold of two tickets to MTV Asia Awards 2008 in Arena of Stars, Genting Highland. It proves to be quite a tormenting experience but fun nonetheless. Being a member of the “MOSHPIT CREW”, we were basically the groupie for the awards show and we were required to be on hyperactive mode the whole day. Our journey started as early as 11.00pm at KL Sentral station. There, we were greeted by the MOSHPIT team leader and got divided into groups and i got assigned into group “I”. It was then, I realised how young my fellow crew members were. The word “OLD” was all over my mind at that point of time. I looked at my partner in crime, Mr Jeremy Chen and we sort of like nodded at each other in acknowledgement. Then we got ushered into a bus and embark on our one hour long journey to the city of entertainment. We reached there around 1.00pm and given a 90 minutes break before we report for the red carpet event. I went for a quick bite at Burger King and pay a whooping RM20.95 for a Whooper set.

TEST TEST! ONE TWO, ONE TWO!

At 2.30pm sharp, the MOSH PITTER’s were all rounded up at “The Pavillion” for a briefing session. They call it the briefing session but i would call it the “Scream as loud as you can and pose for the camera session”. Basically there were loads of cameraman everywhere and whenever there’s a camera lens on us, we’ll freaking scream and make silly faces for the camera. We spent one whole hour in the briefing hall, behaving like a bunch of out control 5 years old.

RED RED CARPET ON THE FLOOR, WHO’s THE FAIRIEST OF EM ALL!

After the briefing session, we were ushered to the red carpet area. It was then I realised that I’m about to be in touching distance with Leona Lewis, One Republic, Karen Mok, Jared Leto, Pussy Cat Dolls and the list go on. I found my heart beating really fast and eagerly anticipating the arrival of the first superstar.

I REALLY NEED TO PEE

I spent the next one hour waiting behind the barricade and after 30minutes; I was in desperate need to relieve myself. Unfortunately, we were freaking barricaded and quarantined inside the red carpet area. I have no choice but to hold it in and cursing myself for consuming a large cup of coke prior to the red carpet session.

RARRRGGHHH!!

After one hour of agonizing pain and full body fidgeting, I heard a loud cheer from the crowd and i saw this tall figure of a woman gracing down the red carpet. Oh my god!! It’s VJ Denise from MTV!
